Tuesday Shoesday: DV Dolce Vita Jentry

Last year in the Nordstrom Catalog there was a slew of spring time booties including the DV Dolce Vita cutout back Jentry.  I was obsessed.  Recently, I found them at Nordstrom Rack, scooped them up protectively.  I nearly wore them out of the store and have been wearing them practically daily since.

Tuesday Shoesday: Zara Quilted Ankle Boot

The best part about clothes and shoes is that you can take on different styles and personas depending on what you wear.  Something about these Zara Quilted Ankle Boots just scream sexy to me.  Paired with all black everything, I’d be happy to circulate these into my closet.

Tuesday Shoesday: Cheetah Print and Plaid

Ugh, was knocked of my feet with some sort of stomach bug yesterday.  I’m back, feeling better, ready to tackle this fall season.  It feels like the start of a new school year.  I’m feeling motivated, excited, and refreshed.

I pinned this image from Sea of Shoes awhile ago.

When I saw the animal print loafers at Gap, I was knew I would have to recreate the look.  I love Gap jeans in general because they fit higher above the hips preventing the crack show when you bend over.  Plus they just fit right and are usually the perfect length for me which is saying something because I’m 5’5″.

Tuesday Shoesday: TOMS Desert Wedge

You guys. I’ve seriously been wearing these shoes every other day since I bought them.  So comfortable, the perfect heel height and great transition to fall.

TOMS Desert Wedge Bootie – $89

I’ve been wearing them with jeans, a tank, and my MK watch every other day.

Tuesday Shoesday: Nordstrom Sale Decisions

It’s hard to concentrate on fall fashion when it is still very much summer time, but every year when the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts, we have no choice but to shift gears long enough to decide on what boots, sweaters, or jackets to grab before the price increases.  If you’re a Nordstrom cardholder, you gain early access to the sale online and in-stores, so S and I have been browsing for the past week.  I’m trying to decide between these black booties or the mixed material cardigan.  Both would be equally versatile this fall/winter, but which will I wear more?

Clarks Rosepoint Dew Booties-$90 sale/$140 after or Michael Kors Mixed Media Cardigan-$87 sale/$130 after
What do you guys think?

Tuesday Shoesday: Reef Flats

Last week my friend sent me a link to these Reef flats.  She said she tried a pair on at REI and they were super comfortable, complete with arch support.  I was instantly smitten by all the patterns and options including ikat, espadrille, and shoe/sandals like the ones I had back in the day.  We couldn’t decide which ones we liked best.

1000 Wonderful Things Reef CreamReef Southern Solstice – $74

S and I were just talking about how I wanted a pair of nude flats for summer and there are def options for a casual pair from Reef.

Tuesday Shoesday: Bensimon Sneakers

Not much more iconic in terms of french footwear then the Bensimon Sneaker.  Perfect for spring and summer time and a little more practical for the PNW then Toms.  Don’t get me wrong, I love Toms, they are my go to when the streets are dry and I know I can avoid puddles, but I need something with a rubber bottom when there is a chance of rain.

Kate Spade Keds and Saturday Sneaks

Be still my heart.  Keds shoes bring back glorious memories of elementary school and I’ve been considering a new pair over the past year or so, but this partnership with Kate Spade seals the deal.

Sizes are selling out quickly, but hopefully they’ll release more.  Find them here.

Tuesday Shoesday: Sorel Slimpack

I’ve talked about Sorel a couple times here. I have no shortage of love for the classic brand (my friends will attest to that).  When I lived in Utah, I wore my Joan of Artics and Tivoli Plaid pair almost daily during the winter.  R recently surprised me with a pair of the tall Slimpacks and I couldn’t love them more.

sorelslimpackOn sale right now on Sorel (not many sizes) for $156 also on Zappos for $165.

They have the classic Sorel rubber base perfect for sloshing through rain or snow, but the grey (or tan) leather shaft lends itself to street wear as well.  Plus a bit of a heel makes you stand up straighter to strut your stuff.  These will for sure be in heavy rotation this spring.
