Apres Ski

Yesterday I shared my ski picks, so today I’m sharing my apres ski picks. Post ski-day, it’s all about comfort and warmth while layering. My picks include the Icebreaker base layer, a J.Crew flannel, Columbia vest that has removal fur/hood, a Discrete beanie that can be worn slouchy style or not, Zella leggings, and Smartwool socks. And most importantly – Sorel boots. My go-to for any winter day, they’ll keep your feet dry and warm.

I would top the look with my favorite Pur Cashmere tissutissu scarf.

If you’re looking for a new awesome game apres ski, check out Cards Against Humanity.
But, don’t expect to play it with your grandparents, it can be a little inappropriate.

And of course, my favorite post ski day drink (besides Champagne) is the Hot Apple Pie.
Here is my recipe, which cuts a few calories off the original:

Warm your mug with a little hot water and then:
– 1.5 oz Tuaca
– 1/2 packet of sugar free apple cider mix and top with hot water
– dallop whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg

Tuesday Shoesday: Nudes

I am loving the neon and brights trend for spring.  I love it so much that I almost forgot about my love for nudes.  Recently, I bought a bright color-blocked dress (the dress is pictured below) and was pondering the shoes to go with.  At first I was wondering about another bright, maybe a hot pink?  Too much.  It wasn’t until a noticed another item in my closet – a striped neon yellow and tan top – that I realized what I needed: nude.  A simple nude had completely slipped my mind!  Nudes are the perfect pairing the bright color trend.  They perfectly complement wild colors and even prints.

Dress by LOVE… ADY

I love these patent “bronzed clay” wedges from J.Crew.  They could be worn casual or dressed up and the wedge makes them totally wearable all day.

For something that is a little closer to earth, try these patent flats in the same “bronzed clay”.

Tune in next week for another edition of our Tuesday Shoesday!
